I checked and both the browser and system download locations are either set to the c: drive or "ask" so I don't believe that's the issue unless some background app is constantly writing to the HDD instead of my main drive SSD. My hard disk keep on spinning after upgrade to Windows 10 I recently moved to a clean installation of Windows 10 from Windows 7.
